My ultimate
goal is to leave this world "better" than I entered it. When I die I want to be remembered as the person who lived by examples
of many others who came before me, who changed the world and left this a better place for me to live. I want to be remembered
as a person of high morals and values, and as one who worked hard to achieve the most difficult goals through persistence
and determination. Besides of that, I have many short-term goals I want to accomplish. And one of them,
which is of first priority to me, is to finish my education and try not to give it up when life throws difficult times
at me.
As for my principles, from the day I was born until now my parents always instill in me the desire to be truthful
to God and people no matter what the outcome will be. I was taught not to fold when one strikes you, but to learn
from situations and be prepared to gain knowledge from my mistakes, be patient with people and accept people as one. My principles
are set at high and to follow them is not always easy. I cannot say that I was and will be a perfect person but my principles
will serve a great deal to me in my life and to stand by it will require a lot of work and determination.
My understanding of happiness is closely connected to goals and principles because they reflect an important aspect of
my life. If I am happy, the achievement of my goals would be felt more rewarding and my principles are fulfilled. Once I acquire
a proper place in society and perform the duties and expectations of that place, I will be happy because for me happiness
is also living it and not just feeling it. I believe I cannot be happy without purpose and principles in my life because purpose
to live for and principles to follow are irreplaceable components of my happiness.
My goals and dreams are far away and to concentrate on my ultimate goal is hard at this moment. So, I need to divide
it into smaller targets and progress through them getting closer to my ultimate goal, my telos, step by step.
